TPE is a fantastic material with stunning properties and is among these materials that have made a major revolution in all industry that used to initially work with silicone.

Thermoplastic Elastomers although being among the closest material from human skin, does not have human skin properties. First time doll owners, even with common sense and care oriented intentions, mistakes still can happen.

Repairing or cleaning damaged or stained TPE is possible in 99% of cases. Think of your TPE Doll has a big chunk of Play-doh paste. TPE DOLLS THE DO’S – RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AN OPTIMAL LIFESPAN

• A TPE DOLL TOOLBOX: Having a TPE Doll toolbox comes handy whenever you need to a fix falling nail, eyebrow or other potential damages such as micro tearing or staining. You can find the full list of must-have items on this page.
• HYDRATATION: Your doll skin should be re-hydrated if you wash her, to maintain a certain viscosity threshold and prevent potential tearing over time. You can read more about it here.
• OPTIMAL STORAGE: Storing your doll the right way will prevent easily avoidable damages such as micro-tearing in areas prone to tension (such as the armpits, groin or in between fingers). When not being used your doll should either be stored using a suspension kit or a storage case. Your doll should be stored in the same position has when she arrives in her box. It is fine to keep her on a bed, but make sure that the mattress is soft enough, and that the bedsheets are neat with no folds.
• PROTECTING THE FEET: It is a good practice to have your doll wear socks and/or shoes, in order to avoid her feet picking up all the dust and dirt from your floor. Although this can be easily cleaned, you wanna save yourself that unnecessary hassle, especially during carrying or manipulation.
• TEST CLOTHING BEFORE WEARING: Some low-cost clothing with cheap dye (except light colors) might leave stains on your doll. Although this is very easy to clean with our stain remover, we recommend in case of doubt, to first place the piece of clothing on a small area for half an hour, such as a foot for example. If the dye hasn’t bled onto the TPE it is generally safe to put it onto your doll. Older garments are usually fine, make sure to wash new clothes ideally twice prior to have your doll wearing them. • USE LUBRICANT: Lubrication prevents tearing to appear in areas exposed to continuous friction such as the cavities. You can use any type of lubricant whether it is oil or water based for TPE Dolls.
• USE LACE WIGS: Lace wigs are a must if you are looking for a no-bangs or natted hairstyle. And will give your doll tremendous extra realism. You can alternatively choose the implanted hair option for a similar effect. See the different between lace and regular wigs on below pictures:

TPE DOLLS THE DON’TS – ROOKIE MISTAKES TO AVOID

For new doll owners, sometimes genuine mistakes can turn into disaster and damages that could have otherwise been avoided. Below are a few tips and recommendations about what you should not do

• STORING YOUR DOLL THE WRONG WAY: Do not keep your doll for extended periods of time in a position where her limbs are curved (arms, legs or the abdomen). This will not only leave creases on the long run, but also create micro-tearing in areas listed above. Although these are easy to get rid of with the right repair equipments, better save yourself that unnecessary hassle.
• STORING YOUR DOLL ON A HARD SURFACE: Doing so will flatten her butt over the long run. TPE is a resilient material that will have memory shape of whatever presses against it, over the course of several hours. You can fix that by checking the following tutorial.
• USING THE INTERNAL HEATING SYSTEM THE WRONG WAY: If you have selected the internal heating system for your TPE doll, make sure to use it only with your doll lying down with both legs and arms straight (same position as she came in the box). • FORCING THE SKELETON JOINTS: There is a learning curve to master TPE Doll manipulation and the whole process should be relatively effortless – If this is not the case you are doing it wrong. Do not apply excessive force if you are having a hard time moving an arm into a given direction for example. You can read more about TPE dolls manipulation on this page.
• KNEES, PALMS, ELBOWS & HARD SURFACES: Usually elbows and palms are fine pressing against hard surfaces as long as you distribute the weight and not solely put it all on either areas. If you are putting your doll on her knees, we strongly recommend to keep something soft underneath such as a pillow or at least a thick folded blanket (such as the one included).
• STAND A DOLL WITH REGULAR FEET UP: TPE Dolls that do not have the stand-up feet option are not meant to be put into stand-up position. The feet sole is not the same with regular feet, and does not have bolts sticking out. The TPE underneath your doll’s feet would squish under her weight otherwise.
• USING TPE GLUE ON EYELASHES OR NAILS: TPE Glue chemically melts the TPE so that it can blend back together like Play-Doh paste would. This glue is not meant to be used to glue back a fallen eyelash or nail. Use Superglue to fix these instead. You can read more on how to repair TPE here.
• NOT CLEANING AND DRYING CAVITIES AFTER USE: If you are having an unprotected intercourse with your doll, make sure to clean it and dry it thoroughly after use. This will prevent molt proliferation and maintain an optimal hygiene. Learn how to do so here.
• TOUCHING THE MAKEUP: Sometimes when changing your doll position, especially when moving the head, you might inadvertently place a palm on the lips or on an eyelid, which might make the makeup bleed. Makeup is only applied onto the eyes area and lips by default, and will last for years as long as it is not tempered with. Makeup bleeding or fading away is not that big of a deal, but be ready to learn how to redo it if ever needed! Checkout this tutorial to do so.
• USING YOUR FINGERS TO MOVE THE EYES: You want to have a small thin and curved tool such as a metal ear curette or half of tweezers to do so. This will prevent the iris from becoming oily and opaque (giving your doll a dead fish gaze). It will also reduce the likeliness of the eyelashes to fall off as well as to accidently touching the eyeshadow makeup on the eyelids. Learn how to do so the best way with this guide.
• ATTEMPTING TO DIY REMOVE MAKEUP OR A STAIN: Makeup should be removed with makeup remover oil or water. Most of stains (such as dye clothing ones), with our TPE stain remover. Do not attempt some alternative methods with random cleaning products, especially rubbing the area. This could potentially damage the TPE on top of that.
• LEAVING YOUR DOLL STANDING WITHOUT SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: This includes other delicate position relying solely on her own balanced weight (such as standing on her feet or knees without additional support). Make sure that she won’t fall if you won’t be around to catch her up!
• USING YOUR BACK TO CARRY YOUR DOLL: Although TPE Dolls weight can vary from rather light to really heavy, this is something you want to avoid if you are not used to carry heavy items.
